Set in the beginning of the 14th century, Padmaavat carefully tries to depict what is known to be a folk story of Rajasthan. It shows one’s sacrifice while others obsession for love. The story revolves around princess Padmaavati (Deepika Padukone), king Maharawal Ratan Singh (Shahid Kapoor) and tyrant Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer singh).
Princess Padmaavati, who was known for her beauty, was married to Raja Ratan Singh who was the king of Chittaur, Rajasthan. When Alauddin heard about her beauty, he was forced to attack on Chittaur just to get a glimpse of her beauty. The movie very brilliantly showcases the war between the two kings for princess Padmaavati.
Baywatch
In the 1990’s Baywatch was a critically acclaimed show and every liked it a lot and was even amongst the top 10 shows in United states at that time. In May last year, a movie based on that show was released and received a warm welcome from around the world. It is based in Emerald Bay, Florida where a team of team of life guards does something unusual. Lt. Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) and his team protects the bay and the beach from any kind of threats.
During an inspection, Mitch finds a packet of Flaka drug in the area which was owned by businesswomen Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra). Mitch and Broody (Zac Efron) gets a hitch about the drug cartel that Victoria Leeds was operating and decides to sneek in to her party where they found her operatives stuffing drugs in fish containers. The story revolves around Mitch and his team trying to bust Victoria and bring the truth in light.
Wonder woman
Wonder Woman has been a beloved character of the DC universe for decades now. Last year, the character finally got its own featured film which was apparently the first Femalesuperhero featured film.
The movie showcases the story of Diana (Gal Gadot), daughter of, Hippolyta who becomes wonder woman. She lives in an all-female island called Amazon, of Themyscira. After an American pilot, Steve Trevor, crashes offshore, he tells Diana about the ongoing world war.
She thinks that this war is caused by Are’, the arc enemy of Amazonians. She then decides to help the human kind and thus discovers her true self and destiny. The climax is well shot with incorporating fiction into actual events.
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety
The movies showcases the bond of two childhood friends, Titu (Sunny Singh) and Sonu (Kartik Aryan). Titu has always been a naïve and gullible person who falls for the words of others easily while sonu is the practical one who has to always step in to save titu from getting hurt. Titu is about to marry Sweety (Nusrat Barucha), who is a simple delhi girl. Titu is already head over heels in love with her but Sonu isn’t convinced and he thinks that she is too good to be true. The story revolves around sonu trying to prove titu that sweety is not good for him and at the end it comes down to titu chosing between his best friend the girl he is about to marry. This is the fourth instalment of the Conjuring series and depicts the story of origin of the Annabelle doll. In 1943 Samuel Mullins, a dollmaker, and his wife grieves upon the death of their daughter Annabelle bee. 12 years later, they open their home to allow 6 girls and sister to stay with them as their orphanage was closed. Mr. Mullins gave clear instruction to everyone that his daughters room was off limits and no one should try to enter in it.
One-night Janice, an orphan girl with polio, was startled by some noise which makes her enter Anabelle’s room. There she finds the doll in a closet and thus opening the house to a demon. The demon possesses the doll and strange things start to happen in the house. It keeps up its name for a horror movie.
